IT IS SUCH A BIG MILESTONE! AND OUR BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS HERE AT CAPTURED BY CHERYL PHOTOGRAPHY STUDIO MAKE THAT FIRST BIRTHDAY EXTRA SPECIAL!
At Captured by Cheryl we love to keep a Birthday photoshoot fairly clean and simple. We want to focus on your baby and make them the centre of attention so we use neutral coloured backdrops, simple props and minimal decorations.
The only thing you will need to decide is whether you would like to bring a little cake and what your little one will wear! Alternatively, we can supply a canvas and some paints or a birthday newspaper?
Sit and smile- Exactly what it says on the tin! Your little one will look so adorable in their smartest birthday outfit.
We will encourage your little one to play, we will sing to them, and we will have a fabulous time before finishing off with bath time and bubbles.
We advise booking a Birthday photoshoot in Birmingham in advance so it gives us lots of time to plan the set up. We always recommend attending your photoshoot in Birmingham around 2 weeks before your baby turns 1. That way we have plenty of time to edit those beautiful images and get them back to you in time for your little ones birthday!
A booking fee is required at the time of booking to secure your chosen session date and time.
A Birthday photoshoot session in my photo studio in Birmingham usually takes around 60 minutes.
A Birthday photoshoot is a great way to celebrate your baby's first birthday or any other birthday!
Birmingham Birthday Sessions take place Sunday to Friday only (Sundays must be pre booked due to limited availability).
We have various props available including bunting, nappy covers, tutu, rompers, cake stand, spoons, wooden letters, wooden numbers,
stools, wooden chair & a bathtub.
Please bring your own clothing for casual poses prior to the birthday photoshoot in Birmingham.
We would politely ask that only 2 adults accompany your child for the session & that you refrain from using mobile phones as a distraction for your child.
All footwear is to be left at the entrance of our studio for hygiene reasons.

PLEASE NOTE: please let us know if you are planning to bring a cake, we can supply a cake stand & spoon.
What to wear?
Please try to avoid strong patterns or logos as this can be distracting in the final image.
Choose your tones carefully, so they compliment each other. Bright colours can throw strong colour casts onto skin which can be unflattering.
